Recording system specifications

Digital Speech Systems recording and monitoring systems can be purchased as a turn-key system or as a kit which can installed on vendor or customer provided server(s). Server specifications are configuration specific. In an analog, digital stations, or trunk side recording configuration, server slots must be available to support the recording voice boards which may be PCI or PCI Express.


Minimum Server Specs

Below is the minimum recommended server specifications for a customer provided server
 
  • Intel Pentium Dual-Core CPU
  • 1gb RAM
  • 320gb or larger Hard Drive (provides appox. 41,00 of storage hours)
  • DVD RW Drive
  • LAN connection (required for Remote Workstation connectivity)
  • Sound card and speakers (required for playback of recorded calls on the server)
  • 1 or more full length PCI or PCI Express slots (for voice processing boards, actual number of slots needed will vary depending upon the number of channels and model of board. May not required for VoIP recording applications.)
  • The following operating systems are currently supported on the server: Windows XP PRO SP3, Windows Server 2003, Windows 7 Pro (32 bit), Windows Server 2008 (32bit).
  • SQL 2005 Express with Management Studio (included on WinVCL kit setup CD). You may also use an external SQL server for database operations for large applications.
  • AudioCodes SmartWorks Driver version 5.4 (included on WinVCL kit setup CD)

    The following brand name servers have been tested and verified to be compatible with the WinVCL application software:
  • DELL 2900
  • Hewlett Packard ML350
  • Hewlett Packard ML380

Minimum Workstation Specs

Below is the minimum recommended specifications for a user's desktop in order to run our remote workstation client software for retrieval and playback of the recordings.

  • Intel Pentium Dual-Core CPU
  • 2gb RAM
  • Windows XP or Windows 7 OS
  • Sound Card and speakers
  • 10gb LAN connection
  • 17" Monitor
  • Outlook 2000 or higher required for one-button email recording forwarding integration
